Where is Elevaso made?
Elevaso Tequila is made in Jaliso, Mexico at NOM 1459, Tequila Selecto.

Is Elevaso gluten free?
Yes, absolutely! All Elevaso products are made from 100% blue weber agave and are naturally gluten free.

Is Elevaso organic?
The agave used in Elevaso's tequila products is organically farmed, but we can't officially put "organic" on our labels yet. Our agave grows for 6-9 years prior to being harvested. Rules on organic labeling require multiple generations of farming using organic methods prior to being able to make that claim on the label. Future releases will be able to contain that designation on our labels.

What makes Elevaso "Doble Madera" Extra Añejo taste so unique?
Two reasons, really:
1) We age our blanco tequila for 5 years in French Oak and American Oak barrels creating flavors of Vanilla, Caramel, and Butterscotch.
2) We then finish our tequila in newly charred barrels creating a smokey finish.
Bottom line, the exceptional flavor of Elevaso "Doble Madera" Extra Anejo comes from the natural flavors from barrel aging. We do not use additives like other brands to achieve color or flavor.

How does Elevaso "Doble Madera" Extra Añejo get its rich amber color?
The color comes from 5 years of resting in French Oak and American Oak barrels. Our finish in newly charred barrels creates even more rich color. We do not use additives like other brands to achieve color or flavor.

What makes Elevaso "El Principio" Blanco taste so sweet?
Two reasons, really:
1) We wait 7-9 years for our estate grown blue weber agave to grow prior to harvesting at its peak natural sugar content.
2) We aerate our blanco tequila longer than anyone else in the market. Doing so nets us less product to sell, but maintains the natural sweetness of the agave.
Bottom line, the exceptional flavor of Elevaso "El Principio Blanco" comes from the natural sweetness of our estate grown blue weber agave. We do not use additives like other brands to achieve sweetness.

Will Elevaso give me a hangover?
We know where this question is coming from - this is not college tequila! The short answer is that over consumption of any alcohol puts you at risk of the dreaded next day hangover. But, since we don't use additives to make our tequila, if you avoid mixing with anything containing sugar and you properly hydrate, we've been told by many people that our tequila is "hangover free!"
